Emilia-Cerna Mladin

Emilia-Cerna MLADIN is full professor at POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest (UPB) and the President of the Romanian Association of Energy Auditors for Buildings (AAECR) since 2006. She holds a degree in Power Plant Engineering from UPB and a Ph.D. degree in Thermal Fluid Sciences from Clemson University (SC, USA). The developing interest in energy auditing of buildings started with teaching energy in buildings at UNESCO Chair of Engineering Sciences of UPB (1996-2011), than with the coordination of a Leonardo da Vinci European project on development and implementation of training modules for energy auditors for buildings (1998-2001), followed by the initiation in 2002 of the first Romanian master program on Building Energy Auditing Techniques at UPB, and the foundation of AAECR in 2004. Mrs. Mladin authored technical books and international publications and is currently member in the Technical Committee of EPB in the Ministry of the Regional Development, in the BoD of the International Alliance of Active House and of the Romanian cluster Pro-nZEB.
